Hi Guys, 

A buyer recently won a bid to a record player that I sold. 
They collected it rather than had it delivered, I put through the collection code which was fine, all scanned okay. 
But I haven’t received any payment from eBay, I was supposed to get £50. 
Nothing is in my account, was they supposed to bring cash 😭

Yes if you didn't specify that buyer pays online they will assume cash was paid. You can still request online payment though.

No, cash is not allowed for a collection item.

eBay should have messaged you that the item sold And the buyer paid.

If they brought with them a collection code this shows they have paid the correct way though eBay checkout.

Payouts do not go into your bank account but into your eBay Balance from there you need to manually withdraw the amount into your nominated bank account. Have you registered for eBay's Managed Payments?  If not see here:

Go to Payments >>  Summary tab near the top of your homepage,  to see the status of that payout if it's pending, it may take 2 days to then appear in your eBay balance to be able to withdraw.

If the buyer was able to provide the collection code, they definitely paid, without paying a buyer wouldn't get the collection code. Are you sure the funds are not being held or something like that? Also, for clarification purposes, cash on collection is no longer an option.
