I sold and item 2 days ago and the payment shows as still pending today and of course ebay ( automatic response) tells me to send it out already. I am aware that it can take 2- 4 days to be cleared but would it not be wiser to wait until then? What if the payment bounces back and I already send it out? Just being cautious here. 🤔

These days payment are held until the postal tracking shows delivery, or without tracking are released 14 days after showing as dispatched. So if you don't send the item you won't get the money.

Hi 123plumbum,
Just to add to the advice above, once you get confirmation of payment by the buyer, you're ok to send the item to the buyer as the payment will not bounce back. Once the buyer pays, it goes through and is confirmed, also the buyer wouldn't have a way to "reverse" the funds. So, the funds will be held in your eBay account, and released within 2 days after delivery confirmation.
Thank you,
Marco

Once tracking shows delivery, your payout will be released 2 days after that delivery date, as long as you have no other holds such as those for a new or returning seller. Payouts then can be held for 21 days.
