Hi. A recent purchase appeared to be faulty and the seller made me a partial refund. This came through correctly to my Paypal account. I have now found that the item was not faulty at all and the refund was not a fair requirement. I would like to pay back that refund to keep things honest.
The seller sent me a link which started "https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/XXX/" and was followed by a long reference number but it only led me to an odd item listing. What is the correct way to go about reversing this refund and repaying it to the seller? I do not want to go about this in a way that would impose any additional ebay fees on them.

You will have to deal with this outside of ebay. Contact the seller and see if you can pay by paypal, or bank transfer.

Thanks for the advice Papso. I'll approach the seller now and see if they are happy to set it up.

Sorry Papso, I mistakenly marked my own reply as the solution! I of course meant to choose yours. Looks like a moderator has corrected that. I definitely wasn't blowing my own trumpet. My apologies.
