This nonsense of eBay claiming they don't charge fees to private sellers. The truth of it is, they know how the market works, they know we have no choice but to lower our prices in order to cater for the new 'customer protection ' (🤣) charges.
So, essentially, we will now pay a fee by proxy. The buyer will get it at the price they used to, and get the exact same protection they've had for ages.
I assume though, it works out financially better for eBay, given that's their only priority.
