Using a PC, you should find the option to click My eBay, then look in the top left area and click My Account. This will allow you to select Payments - you may be asked to sign in again at this point, and have to re-navigate back to Payments... security and all that - once you're there you'll see a page similar to the one below, enter your credit card (not debit!) details there.
Click on the blue plus sign, select "use at checkout" and fill in fields as requested, the same as you might anywhere you pay online
Please ensure that your card details exactly match the information held on your eBay account - best to check first and alter eBay account details as necessary, as people have experienced difficulties when one records your name as "Marge" and the other "Margaret", as an example.

Only a ( monthly payment statement ) Credit Card entry to confirm your age is acceptable to eBay --- nothing else will do !! --- an everyday use Debit Card will not be accepted.

I have a credit card already on my account, so I tried deleting it and adding it again but still not working, it just goes to the verification page and when add my card details I get this message
I have contacted customer support but they are no help even after a long conversation with supervisor.
i have given up trying to buy any age related items on eBay as they don’t seem to be able to provide a solution to this problem. I have been a member of eBay since 2003 and all of my age related details are correct on my account including my date of birth.

Which device or browser are you using to add / change those details ?
Some options are not available on the app or mobile browser, so if using those, switch if you can to a laptop / PC and use Chrome that seems to work well. Doesn't harm clearing them cache and cookies, too.

Sorry to hear of your continued woes.
Please double-check that the details of your eBay account EXACTLY match those on the card.
If still unnsuccessful I'm all out of advice I'm afraid to say, other than to have eBay call you back first thing in the morning, just after 8 a.m., using the following link - if you do not get an operative from Dublin (they are knowledgeable, experienced and very helpful, and will give clear advice on how best to proceed) just say "sorry, wrong number", disconnect, then hit the blue button until you do.
