Hi all,
After a year of selling, I received a restriction on my eBay account due to no fault of my own. I have been asked for Identification which I provided but am now being asked for Proof Of delivery for some orders from over a month ago.
I'm being asked for information which I cannot provide, since these were posted using 2nd class large letter, the posties don't always scan the delivery. I've tried explaining this but reps/account team don't seem to understand. I tried messaging buyers asking for delivery confirmation and 4 of 10 responded after 3 days. Surely if the buyers had an issue like it not arriving, they would've complained or replied to my messages.
I'm really stuck here, eBay are holding £900 from me which I urgently need and I'm stuck in a cycle where I keep being asked for the same information which is physically impossible for me to provide.
I am being told this will result in a permanent ban of my account which really sucks but I'm not bothered anymore - I just want what im rightfully owed.
Sorry if this was posted on the wrong board - it is my first post on the forums.
Thank you

I am in similar position had one come through the other day, they are asking for tracking for all items showing delivered (not sure how far back) and all open cases closed. Like you I get cases every other day and am shipping close to 100 items a day. its impossible to provide this. I am allowed to still sell items they are just holding my money but every time I submit appeal new items have been orderd so its a circle, Im not missing out on sales at xmas because eBay after me selling for 22 years with 99.4% feedback have decided to be weirdos

You have 6 months to wait for your funds I’m afraid. Giving sellers free listings has given eBay license to issue these MC011 notices if they suspect you of buying items to sell on. You have to wait 170 days due to money laundering legislation and Incase buyers decide to open a claim. It’s disgusting I agree!

This is extremely concerning - have they released your funds yet?

I haven't got mine. Sales still coming in but I can't even Ship mine as I use eBay Labels and as my Funds are Frozen I can't even buy eBay Labels to ship. Now at risk of getting high cancellation rates, got no Money for kids for Xmas, its a joke. I usually get 10-14 cases a week anyway, Late Delivery rate is at 4.5%.
My biggest issue now is do I turn the Shop off until this is sorted, everytime I appeal they keep saying we need all items delivered, and im responding well sales keep coming in (100ish a day) how can they all be delivered. But now I am worried as to Copy and Paste everything through EVRI takes 5-10 mins per order instead of a quick pack list print and then labels from eBay, also costing me 66p more per label.

Very concerning indeed..
Selling an item through a company and not knowing if you are going to receive the funds.

Why are they hiding your funds ? You are a business... did they say?

They want
Tracking on EVERY ORDER with DELIVERY Confirmation
ALL ITEM NOT RECEIVED Cases closed before they will even look at my appeal (Even ones that are in the 3 Days)
I said some products are £2 Birthday Cards, they have Postage Stamps how can I prove that, they was then like well you need to reach out to the buyer to confirm it or leave feedback. I then said what if they are a 'Guest' Account and the women then started saying she didn't understand me and went quiet.
Fact of the matter is, the only option I have here is to Put the Shop onto Holiday mode for a few weeks, let the Sales stop so the Cases Stop and then go from there. But I have been selling 22 Years on here, 110,000 + Feedbacks its a joke.
Current Seller Level Scores for me are
Cases Closed without seller resolution 0.09%
Late Delivery 4.37%
Transaction Defect Rate 0.09%
Only had 8 Negative Feedbacks all year, there is no way my account is worse than others that will no doubt have this issue.
Currently selling around 50-100 items a day with average 3 day Delivery Time.
Feel very let down by eBay this year, fees increased, had our Concierge taken away from us, Customer Service we get is out from outside the UK and we are having language barrier issues with some orders, just not great.

No I’m looking at early June 2025!

In hindsight I wished I’d stopped selling immediately as the funds in the seller account just build up and you’re looking at June 2025 before they release them.

Hi, Don't want to rub it in but I thankfully sorted my issue today.
We had a good discussion and thankfully resolved the issue after we managed to confirm all items without tracking was delivered, and the rest was at least 'In Transit' We got most cases closed and explained in detail all the challenges we had faced in 2024. Overall actually happy now its sorted and how they actually allowed me to explain
What are they fully asking for with your issue, maybe I can help you

Still a no show.
Some reps are telling me it'll take until the 6th of June 2025 and others are telling me it'll take longer!

Still asking for the same stuff, proof of delivery for items that are untracked. I attempted to contact the 10 buyers about said items and only heard back from 4, all of which said they were delivered and satisfied with the item!
It's literally just a game of cat and mouse. eBay was a very good source of income for me until It wasn't. I doubt I'll ever sell on here again to be honest with you, I can't afford for hassle and stress like this.

Additionally, they've permanently banned me from selling without an explanation.
