won a bid on a car but wasn't as described

I was the winning bidder on a car that was decribed as, and I quote " is a fantastic car" ..."Don't miss out on this great car!" It had no MOT or tax so couldn't test drive it. It also had a leaking coolant system so couldn't have driven it away anyway, which the seller only mentioned when I got there. It wasn't a "fantastic" or "great car". I refused to buy it as it wasn't as described. I now get an Ebay "Unpaid item" reminder all the time and don't know how to remove it. Any ideas? I don't want to contact the seller as he wasn't a nice guy.

You can't remove it. Unless the seller agrees to cancel the sale you will have to wait until eBay places an unpaid item strike on your account, and then appeal it.

I imagine your appeal will probably be allowed. This must happen all the time, as eBay doesn't allow buyers to view motor vehicles until the listing has ended. (This is to prevent buyers and sellers arranging a private sale, evading payment of eBay's fees.)
