unsolicited offers from sellers

Is it possible to prevent sellers/ebay sending unsolicited offers whenever I have viewed an item?

As far as I can see it is not possible to avoid getting these annoying offers.  See below- 

Not sure if it works, but in communication preferences, under buyers, it dies have offers to buyers. 

Go to your preferences and untick that box.
