I bought it in February I got a letter from the police I still have the product I am writing to ebay for help and nothing

eBay won't help. It's well outside their 30 day time limit for buyer protection.

If the police need help from eBay they have a procedure to contact them.

How did you pay? If by debit card or credit card your card issuer may still be able to help you to get a refund.

If the original owner claims the bell back you can ask citizens advice.
