Did you mean:

should I cancel return request ?

I have opened a return request and the seller has offered a full refund without me returning the item and now says he can not give me the refund with the return request open - he does NOT want the item back and says he will give me a full refund anyway.

Should I cancel the return request or is he trying it on?

Thanks for your help. GB

Do not close the return request [case] as you cannot open another one.

The seller can refund you through your request and that would close the return.

Re: should I cancel return request ?

"Dear customer,
I'm sorry for keeping you waiting. eBay has a policy that does not allow sellers to initiate refunds when they have requested a return but the item has not yet been returned, as shown in the picture. Please understand. Don't worry, I will keep my promise and refund you after you close it. We look forward to your reply."

Hi Please see the message I received above - is this the 'fact' or not??

Thank you. GB

Re: should I cancel return request ?

That is a complete con. Leave negative feedback to warn others, as there is not any truth in anything said.

Once closed promise would mean nothing, however you could probably still get a refund through your payment provider.

If no refund escalate to ebay after 3 full days, seller then gets defect on their account, too many defects and they would be in serious trouble.
