The seller has sent the following message, is this a scam?
Thank you for your time.

Tell your seller they already have your valid address on their order details. I can think of no reason why they would want to see your drivers licence or any other private document.

I always assume that anything like that, which does not use my name, is fake.
How did you receive the message?

It is a message directly from the seller, on the ebay website massages.

I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole after a demand like that, especially given that they are illegally trading on a private seller account and failing to display their legally required contact info - kind of ironic. Their about section is also full of meaningless guff: About Seller. At best, they come across as a tad paranoid tbh.

Having looked at the seller, especially what they write in their 'About' section, I would not supply that information.
They are not selling anything you can't buy elsewhere.
Take the advice from @*guinevere*
Worst case scenario, they will cancel your purchase.

Ok thank you everyone 🙂

You could consider reporting the seller for his about me page. I'm sure it is illegal to state you will collect and keep details in the way he has.

I have tagged you in this member's other post dave.
Surely the message sent to this member by a seller is just not allowed by Ebay?

Appreciate the help, honestly quite distressed by all of this.
