recieving tracking info for an order that isn't mine?

yesterday I received a text saying my order from an eBay seller would be delivered by DPD. I was confused as I had not ordered anything. I click through, it takes me to an order that was completed in October. I check my emails and I have been sent tracking info for an address and name which is not mine. There is no purchase on my eBay account, none showing on my PayPal and nothing on my bank account. Somehow someone has ordered something using my email and phone number as the contact details. what can I do about this? I have two factor and biometric sign in on eBay, and it has a strong and unique password.

It may just be that the seller has / is sending the item to the wrong buyer. 

See if anything arrives, if there is a return address simply, cross your name and address out and write  'Return to Sender Person Unknown',    hand back to your nearest Post Office.

An Order completed in October perhaps suggests either an item coming from China / Far East or a Personalised item?

Have you ordered either in the past few weeks?  The seller may have just made an error in sending to the wrong buyer.

Just wait to see if something turns up send it back,  keep an eye on your bank and credit card accounts to see if any unauthorised payments are made, then you can report them to that payment provider.

to clarify: nothing arrived at my address. i have been emailed the tracking information and confirmation (including image) of a parcel being delivered to someone else. i have their name and address via the tracking, which used my email and phone number. i do not know these people.

the order ebay referred me to was completed (i bought the item, paid for the item, and received the item in it’s entirety) in october. i have not ordered anything shipped with dpd in the past few weeks.

i’m hoping this is a weird mistake and not someone stealing my email and phone number for some odd reason.
