not able and do not want to use simple delivery

hi, i have had online chat with Ebay and they cant help me. i am a private seller and i have an item to send which is over sized and weight. there is no option for custom postage showing on my iphone or PC.

i stopped selling expensive items on Ebay like £300 to £500 as ebay stopped cash on collection.

i have have sold 1000's of items over 17 years, but stopped entirely since all the new rulings came about in january.

i have one item to sell and i want to use the carrier of my choice and charge the amount i want to.

can anyone advise...this Simple delivery option is useless!

thanks

Simple Delivery is now mandatory for all Private sellers.

However,  there is currently an issue that Simple Delivery not offering Custom Postage to oversize items,  lightweight items and those under £10,  these are all exempt from Simple Delivery.

There is a workaround.

From the link below Go To Solution and follow  the advice in Rick's answer to list your item.

thanks mfor your help...i have tried all the tricks suggested by members and nothing works.

i will continue to sell on other platforms and i may just list this one item as collection only.

Ebay have certainly messed everything up big time..  all for the worst and nothing like when i first joined 17 years ago.

That link has helped many people,  and even one which Customer Services is providing if you call in with this issue.

It does have to be followed very carefully, and perhaps use a laptop / PC with Chrome,  and not the app or mobile browser.  I understand you need to refresh the page after changing the price,  then the price will hold, ensure you also have the correct category.

A Community manager offered this alternative to use for the time being too,  for oversize items.  Set carrier preference to Evri,  and when listing your item,  select medium parcel present,  with the appropriate parcel weight, again ensuring the correct category is selected.

All a faff I know, but hope the above helps.
