item sold for under listing price without offer being made...how?

Hi, does anyone have a similar experience...I listed a comic for £7.50 (with offers starting at £6) and it sold for £3.30 without an offer being made. It's such small money it makes no difference and I'm happy to fulfill the order but I've no idea why ebay processed this order at this price? any thoughts???

Re: item sold for under listing price without offer being made...how?

You are a long time seller so I do not wish to state the obvious is the deduction a postage bought from eBay or an optional listing upgrade. The comic you sold yesterday sold for £7.50, so most odd I agree.

All I can suggest is to see the breakdown of that transaction see what has been deducted.

If that doesn't clear matters up contact eBay Customer Services they have full access to your account and can explain any charges.  If you do receive your answer please come back to us and tell us what CS said,  it may help us to help others facing the same issue.

This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

Lines open between 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays.

9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.

I recommend contacting CS very first thing in the morning, when the lines first open,  as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

Re: item sold for under listing price without offer being made...how?

Hi tressygirl thanks for the advice and info. I think I might have an answer. I used the link:  ' https://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ManageBestOffers&itemid= (item number) ' and it informed me that the item had been bought via the customer excepting an offer. I wouldn't knowingly make an offer at the price purchased; however, it made me think if I'd made a low offer by mistake...I often offer watchers a 5% discount to try and drive a sales so I did a quick calculation and £7.50 to £3.30 is a 56% discount. Therefore I probably accidently also pressed the 6 (I use my phone app not the laptop) and made the customer a really great offer!!! It just confused me at the time but I think this explains the scenario and it can all be blamed on fat fingers.
