ebay does not let me accept cancellation request

Hi, I am trying to accept a cancellation from a buyer request, following the acceptance of an offer. However when going to the cancellation request there is a message "You let us know that you can no longer cancel this order because you already sent it on 27 Mar 2025.".

The item has not been posted and I would like to accept the cancellation as a refund would still charge me for the delivery and buyer fees.

How can this be solved?

If it is marked as dispatched, then just go to DROP DOWN MENU and use REFUND, reason buyer’s request.

I can refund what was paid to me, but what about postage and fees charged to the buyer?

Try cancelling via the dropdown menu arrow alongside the item on your orders page and select Cancel order > Buyer asked to cancel.

If no luck you could contact ebay and ask them to check what the problem is.   Use callback on here:
