I have a buyer who wishes to collect as they live locally. The option to amend the invoice seems to have disappeared and also I cannot find out how to generate a collection code. How do I amend the invoice now to remove postage and generate this co?Thank you

Is it the telescope? Now your buyer has bought and presumably paid for the item, you cannot change any detail on the postage and this would not generate the all important collection code, which is the only proof when you receive it , to show the item was collected.
Your best way forward would be to cancel the order citing Buyer Requests to cancel, this refunds the buyer. You can then relist the item as a Collection only item. Once the buyer buys and pays through eBay checkout, cash is no longer allowed, they receive that code. Do not let your item go without this code.
Make it very clear in all eBay messages explaining the above to your buyer, you explain the item is being delisted to list Again on eBay, that this is not an off eBay sale, eBay read all messages going through their system.
If you leave it as it is, for the buyer to come and collect the item, you will not be able to mark it as dispatched/collected, and can leave yourself open for a future case for item not received, with no proof of collection.

Thank you for your helpful advice. What is so frustrating is that on the original listing, I marked it as collection only, but reduced the price during listing as I need the room so need the items gone. When I changed the price, EBay automatically changed the postage option (without me knowing) to that ridiculous easy postage. There are so many items I would never have selected that amount anyway.
I will cancel and relist 😩
