e-bay selling your item for less than the listed or best offer price

I listed an item several months ago for £249

with a minimum offer price of £200 and an auto accept price of £230

BUT e-bay sold it on 1st of August 2025 for £184.80    

Has anything similar to this happened to any of you ? 

I would have canceled the sale but the lady messaged me beforehand with lots of thanks,

she had bought it for her autistic sons Christmas and was very happy.

I decided she has enough problems without me adding to them.

How exactly did buyer buy. Did she buy as a BIN or make an offer if do how much.

Have you tried getting an explanation from ebay? I know this is hardly likely to get an explanation, but the sale price must have come from somewhere.
