First, open a return case for item not as described selecting the reason.... damaged in transit.
Send your seller a message of what has happened and that broken ceramic pieces cannot be sent through the post. They should refund you through those case details within 3 days.
If they don't and make some excuse the item needs returning, as this is eBay's policy, contact Customer Services, explain the item cannot be sent through the post, see how CS handle your refund. I do strongly suggest contacting Customer Services tomorrow morning or a weekday morning at 8 a.m. as that is when Dublin agents are more likely to answer.
Only speak to them, they are more likely to be familiar with UK postal rules than someone in the Philippines who may insist the item HAS to be sent back! It's a call back option so you'll hear if it's Ireland a callin' !
