Purchase of Kitchen knifes

I purchased a set of knifes I knew this might cause a problem as I had the same thing when I purchased

a battery operated hedge trimmer so I was prepared!  I had a credit card listed as a payment method so I was going to pay with this. But I was asked again before going into the payment method to supply credit card details which I did and all was Ok. but when I went into the payment method, payment was taken from my debit card which seems odd why ask for all the details twice and then take from a different card?

Entering your credit card details is only for verification purposes, that  you are 18 years or older.  It may not be the card you wish the payment to be taken from.

At eBay checkout before paying on the left hand side,  is shown your 1st preferred method of payment,  if you wished to change that  to the credit card,  you needed to select that payment there.

The credit card wasn't listed as an option

just my debit card or the new options via the bank

but I don't but much anymore on Ebay, very very rarely get tempted so it isn't a problem just curious

You must have your debit card as a payment option for buying ,and it's at the top of options and  ticked, as 1st choice for payment to be made from that source.

Your credit card has been added to your file as before,  for verification purposes.

Should you also need it as a payment source for buying,  there is that option to add the card at eBay checkout.

Sorry,  being a member like yourself, I have no access to your account details  so would not know if a c. card was selected as a payment option.
