credit balance

Important Notice: Take action on your eBay credit balance

Dear John,

eBay Seller ID: ********,

We noticed that you have a credit balance on your account of GBP -0.52 as of 18.11.2024. You can view your balance in My eBay. A credit balance appears with a minus sign in front of the number and means that eBay owes you that amount.

We are requesting that you take action on your credit balance as after 19.12.2024, the credit balance will no longer show on your account. However, even after that date, if you contact us we will still issue you a refund in respect of your balance.

Thank you, eBay

Is this really from ebay? Is it somehow a scam? There is no balance shown in My  Ebay, not even a postive one, how do I reguest a refund? Why is this not documented? I use paypal to pay not ebay, the email had a replies ignored footnote so what should I do?

The message addresses you by your first name which is usually a clue it has come from eBay and seems from days past they owe you 52 pence.

To make sure it has come from eBay contact Customer Services.  They can advise how to withdraw the 52p too.

This is the easiest and quicket way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

Lines open between 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays.

9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.

I recommend contacting CS very first thing in the morning, when the lines first open,  as there's more chance of Dublin answering.
