charges incurred

Hi,

I ordered a pair of front suspension arms (277348411981) for my Suzuki Celerio CK66 TKU and the seller asked for the registration number to make sure that the correct parts were supplied, which I gave him.

I took the car into our local garage to have the new arms fitted but when they had got the old arms off it was clear that the new arms were incorrect. I had to ask the garage to refit the old ones as these items are special order only, so impossible to replace easily, and the garage could not keep a ramp tied up.

I have incurred a cost of £97.20 for removing and refitting of the arms and I don't think it unreasonable to ask the seller to reimburse me as he had all the details necessary to supply the correct arms.

I have asked him to repay me but he has refused so I am now asking if ebay can assist.

I have now ordered a new arm off ebay which the seller assures me will be correct.

If ebay can't assist then I will consider the small claims court.

Regards

Peter Knill

ebay can only enforce refund of the original payment which you get by opening a "not as described" return.    They cannot extract more than that so you would have to try the small claims court (now called money claim online).

We see a lot of similar questions.

TBH. It would be better to get garage to supply and fit parts,

That way it is garage that has to sort any issues.
