changing my email address on ebay

my current address is: ****gates@hotmail.co.uk

I want to change it to :  ****gates6@gmail.com    but I get the message "that address is already in use".

I want you to investigate this please and I assure you that this address is not in use by  myself on ebay and I don't know where this has come from.

For the time being, I am still using my old address at hotmail.co.uk but this will disappear shortly as everything will be under my new address at gmail.com

I believe this is due to something being logged on your ebay server from some earlier request I might have made years ago.  I would really appreciate your help with this issue.

You are not talking to eBay here but to members like yourself.  This is how to contact CS as contact with your account is needed.

This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

Lines open 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. on weekdays

9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on weekends.

Automated agents will be available on chat outside of the above hours.

I recommend contacting CS first thing in the morning as there's more chance of Dublin answering.
