buyer offering to negotiate a price privately during an auction

I have a buyer in my active auction asking what price I would accept if they bought it now. The listing has 240 views and 3 days left to run. The buy-it-now offer has disappeared from the listing now. another bidder has just entered a hight bid. I want to keep the auction running. How should I respond?

As you have bids, You can't do BIN.

Politely  message buyer and say you will let auction run.
