buyer has won payment dispute

In the end of may 2025 i sold 2x iphones 16.

With all the evidence of postage the buyer did nothing but give me grief from the time i posted it to them recieving it. Trying to say id sent it to wrong address then i recieved notice via ebay that item was recieved. Then they tried to claim that i sent books.. i have evidence of the package weight. i had to accept his return before i could esculate the books returned and not iphones.

After he disputed this transaction ebay then took over, and i was granted in favour of my case. 

The buyer then opened a payment dispute in ebay via paypal. which has taken 7wks. I sent evidence of my details etc and last saturday the resolution dispute came back in the buyers favour!

so out of pocket and no iphones. Ebay say they cant get involved as it a 3rd party dispute. Paypal cant find any transaction as the funds did not enter my paypal as they were on hold through ebay.

Ive just registered on action fraud. Could anyone pls point me in the right direction of my next step pls as i can not even dispute the outcome of this.

Money no longer goes to paypal, once released it stays in your ebay account until you withdraw it to your BANK ACCOUNT.

If paypal have no evidence of buyer paying, then perhaps they will not refund, but I think that pay pal starts a chargeback through ebay, who refund and debit your account.

If ebay found in your favour in the ebay case then they should have given you seller protection in a payment dispute raised for the same reason.

You need to find out why that didn't happen.

I am absolutly shocked how ebay have treated me.. They praise you for 17yrs of service then after this recent dipute on a genuine sale they favour the buyer!

so i looked further in why they favoured with the buyer and rest assured me with the seller protection. they put me through to the restrictions department and told me they'd send an email requiring further info.

They requested my receipts for the iphones which i bought in march from amazon. That was fine. i downloaded and uploaded them. They also wanted receipts for the items i had on sale at this present time which were Jean Paul perfumes limited christmas edtions. Explained my late dad had purchased these for me 2yr ago and been sat in my cupboard. i cant get receipts as hes sadly left us.

Ebay have now totally restricted my account for selling i can purchase items but not allowed to sell and the 2x iphone money has disappeared. After speaking to them theyve told me the funds of the iphones wont be available until 190 days and i can not appeal against this as it is their final decission. With the amount of yrs and very good selling feed back on ebay how can they come back with such harsh decisions, and restrict your loyal account. I appreciate any guidence with this thankyou
