Wrong weight on listing

I have sold an item, however having created the label for the parcel I’ve realised that the weight I used on the listing was incorrect and the label is effectively invalid. When I contact eBay Customer Services it was suggested that I cancel the sale, amend the listing and ask the buyer to buy the item again, which I don’t want to do. I’m prepared to take the hit and post the item at my expense, but I’m concerned that the EVRI label that the eBay despatch process has generated will never be used/tracked. Will this cause me issues?

Ideally it's best to cancel and relist but if you prefer to buy the postage yourself  you can add the new tracking number via the More Actions dropdown menu or View Order Details > Postage > Track Package > dropdown arrow.   That needs to be done on a desktop browser.   If you don't that the payment will be released anyway in 14 days.

If you paid for the original label you can cancel it here:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/claims/simple-delivery/refund/seller
If the buyer paid for it it will be refunded to them automatically in 30 days.

You can use your own postage and the unused label will be refunded to the buyer in around 30 days.

You can try to add your new tracking number to the order or contact eBay

and ask if they can do it for you to release payment,if not payment will be released anyway after 14 days.
