Wrong tracking number

Hi, I recently delivered a phone, but the buyer needed it urgently therefore I delivered it on my own rather then using the QR code provided by ebay. On ebay, there is the wrong tracking number and it says that it hasn’t been delivered, is there a way to change this.

When you say you delivered it on your own,  does that mean you hand delivered it to the buyer's home?

If this was initially an item which needed to be posted,  you will not have that all important QR code to show collection,  so your payout will be held for 21 days before release.

If you mean you used a different postal service and not used postage bought through eBay,  then you should be able to manually change the tracking number yourself.  Go to View Order details >> Edit alongside tracking.

If you find difficulty doing this contact eBay Customer Services they'll change it for you.

Lines open between 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays.

9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.

I recommend contacting CS very first thing in the morning, when the lines first open,  as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

I used a different postal service as I used next day delivery and did not used the QR code. I tried to change the tracking number, however it says something was wrong.

Thank you for your help, I will try to contact customer service for them to change it.

Aaah thank you for that extra information.

If you bought the postage yourself ,  you will need to also mark it as dispatched manually and  only on the Seller Hub here:

If you still then cannot edit a tracking number there,  you will need to contact CS as above, for them to do this for you.

For the unused label you can receive a refund,  but may need to wait 24 hours for it to appear before being able to cancel it.

Find your label with this link . https://www.ebay.co.uk/ship/lmng/labels-history/seller-hub and to the left of the sales record there is a drop down menu under 'Actions' click on that , then click on 'Void Label'.

The refund will take between 5 - 21 days to process.
