Wrong size advertised

Hi

i purchased a dress which was advertised at a size 12

when i tried it on it was too big

when i looked at the label it was a size 12/14

the seller would not let me return it because she said she was a 12 at it fitted her perfectly

Wrong size advertised

Do not argue with seller, open a not as described case. DO NOT use the reason DOES NOT FIT as that will not get you a refund, and case will close.

Wrong size advertised

Thank you for the prompt reply

I guess I’m too late then as I have already argued with the seller and the case was closed

Wrong size advertised

If you bought from a private seller, and opened the return stating that the item was the wrong size/did not fit, that is counted as a change of mind return and the seller can refuse the return.

Best idea with clothing is to buy from a business seller or from a private seller who accepts returns.

That way, if the item is not quite right, you can always send it back.

"There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn't true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.”

Wrong size advertised

We don't know how you worded the reason for returning this, but if you had stated that the seller's description incorrectly gave the dress size as 12 you would probably have won. eBay doesn't accept money back claims because an item doesn't fit, you must show that it didn't match the description.

If it had been correctly described as size 12/14 I'm sure you wouldn't have bought it from a seller who doesn't accept returns, because it would have been a real gamble whether it would fit you.
