Why is an item shown as dispatched shortly after selling.

Hi using android app.   Two items I sold today with buyer paying postage are marked as dispatched. Both through evri. What is going on??

You are using Simple Delivery.

As soon as you download the label or QR code Ebay (unhelpfully) marks the item as dispatched.

Even at 11pm on a Sunday evening.

Don't access the label or the code until you are ready to post.

I would also recommend not ticking box for buyer to also buy label. If for any reason you had to buy different postage, and original label was cancelled the buyer would get the refund not you, leaving you out of pocket.

This does happen quite a lot when ebay gets the postage wrong. Let buyers pay the postage to you leaving you in control.
