VAT who is charged?

I just want to know why if I buy a second hand clothes I have to pay VAT?

You won't pay VAT on the price of the secondhand clothing if you buy from UK sellers.

From your own listings, you can see what the buyer will pay and VAT is not added for UK buyers.

VAT at 20% is included in the Buyer Protection Fee which is collected by and paid to Ebay.

Also are you sure it’s not the vat line on postage if you having to pay for postage? Tracked services from Royal Mail are liable to vat and this may be what is confusing as eBay don’t lay it out particularly well on their paperwork.
