Unable to use PayPal credit to make offer

Why does EBay restrict the ability to make an offer requesting a payment source. I can see the reasoning behind it to stop people from making a offer being unable to pay for it to stop sellers having to go through wasted time on behalf of buyers but surely eBay are hurting sales as multiple people could be utilising PayPal credit but is unable to use due this policy. I feel that this should be reviewed and removed allowing the option to use PayPal credit to also make offers.

So what happens if offer is accepted and buyer is refused credit by paypal?

Many sellers when dealing with offers, on acceptance require immediate payment, and not waiting for approval of paypal credit.

Yep, that's spot on for the reason auto payment is now made when an offer is accepted , sellers now do not wait for 4 days before cancelling and relisting.

You are also spot on for its many restrictions, one being that choice of payment.

It does need a review,  but has been in place for a while, so me thinks a 'review' is a long way off comin' !🤔
