I am selling 250 items individually as buy it now
It will not allow me to set the item price to £0.83 per unit thus then the buyer pays £0.99 it keeps failing to save the page and list it, gives red warning and states that the item price must be £0.99 so the buyer pays £1.13 -what am I doing wrong?

If you read down the page via the link, it states the minimum selling price for a BIN item must be .99.
(It is an ebay.co.uk page which states $.99 but I assume it means 99p)

To list in fixed price Buy It Now format the minimum price must be 99p, you can't make it less.
If you're a private seller listing your own personal bits and pieces then a Buyer Protection Fee is added to your listing price, only business sellers are exempt from this (and Simple Delivery, so they can combine postage).
