Hi there, I posted an item out to a buyer who received the item three days ago. EBay hasn’t given the buyer an option to say that the item has been delivered & eBay tracking is saying that it still hasn’t been posted. It’s really starting to get on my nerves how simple things like this can be so awful. Any ideas as to what’s going on? Appreciate any feedback

There is no option for a buyer to say they have received an item, best a buyer can do, is to leave you feedback, but this is completely voluntary and not mandatory to do so.
eBay's tracking, yep is notoriously slow to update, but you have tracking to show delivery so this is what counts.
As a new or returning seller, your inital payouts can be held for 21 days , if your payout isn't released in the next few days into the Available section of your payout, contact eBay Customer Services provide them with the tracking you have, which does show delivery, can they please now release your payout.
This is the easiest and quicket way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

Lines open between 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays.
9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.
I recommend contacting CS very first thing in the morning, when the lines first open, as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

Why worry, you know it has been delivered. No doubt ebay systems are delayed due to Christmas.
Buyers never do have option to mark as delivered, partly because they make a mistake, then if undelivered would not be able to claim.
Good reason to deal with your own postage.
