I purchased a new white toilet roll holder for my refurbished bathroom. When the item arrived it was of real poor quality so I contacted the seller. He requested photographic evidence, which I sent to him. I asked for a new replacement roll holder or a full refund. He offered me a partial refund which I will not accept and given that he has ignored my last message to him, I have messaged him again to say that a replacement item is no longer an option and I want a full refund. I only chose to purchase from him as his feedback was over 99%, so I assumed rightly or wrongly that I would receive the item as advertised. Would I be unreasonable to provide poor feedback and tell potential customers not to purchase from him because of my experience. Ages ago the resolution centre would look at the history appertaining to the issue and resolve but you cant speak to anyone directly. It didnt cost a fortune but sheer principle that if he does this to several customers then he completely gets away with it. Any feedback would be appreciated.

You don't need to speak to anybody.
The returns process is automated and sellers can't refuse returns.
I would be more concerned with getting my money back than leaving negative feedback.
To request a return, select the item you want to send back from your recent purchases above, or use the button below. You can also start a return request from your Purchases in My eBay.

Thank you so much for your prompt response, which is very much appreciated.
It was many moons ago when I had a problem with an ebay seller hence why I only make purchases with 99%+ positive feed back. I feel so disappointed that I immediately made the seller aware that there was a problem with the item when I received it, but for him to suggest a partial refund is a bitter pill to swallow. It is a substandard second and I am a person of principle being old school. To feel that I have been conned really annoys me.
I may try and actually speak to E bay because I feel aggrieved that in one message he implied that its his responsibility and he will sort it and then try and push me off with a partial refund. The seller is a con artist who needs bringing to task.

Do not waste your time speaking to ebay. Ebay provides a perfectly good way of getting a full refund, use it. Seller has to provide a reply paid label, if not you escalate to ebay, who force refund without need to return.
Speaking to ebay will only get the same information, they will take no action against seller.
NEVER go for replacement, you only get one case, and if replacement is also poor,
then nothing more can be done through ebay.
