I paid for 1 item but it’s taken 3 times the amount

What's the listing number, and how much did you authorise to pay at eBay checkout (the total would have been shown, eBay can't take more than that)?

It was a make offer item , I had the offer accepted but had no reply or emails, so I placed the offer again and still nothing back until the day after when they took 3 times the amount out of my bank

If the seller was selling more than one of the item you need to contact them to cancel two of them.

If it's not that contact ebay tomorrow and ask them to check your account.  The two extra payments will probably be returned automatically but check with them.
