That dreaded collection code!

I sold 3 large items to the same buyer, all of which were collection only. The buyer sent a company to collect the items, but they did not have the codes. I contacted the buyer for the codes but she cannot find them either. She has left me positive feedback for each item. I cannot find any way of marking them up as collected. I find it somewhat irritating that ebay have removed the option to mark items as collected without the code. Will they just "drop off" my orders list at some point or can anyone help me with another suggestion.

That dreaded collection code!

They may not know where to look for those codes.

Advise them to search through their eBay email messages,  or to their order details for the items in their Purchase History, perhaps to use a PC / laptop in preference maybe to the app?

You need those codes to enter alongside ...  Confirm Collection to release your payout for those sales.

If they still cannot find the codes or go radio silent,  contact eBay Customer Services explain the situation draw attention to the message from the buyer that they cannot find the code,  but have left feedback which shows delivery.

This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services from the link below, for a Call Back option.  I do recommend contacting CS very first thing in the morning when the lines first open,  as there's more chance of Dublin answering

 https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/eua?id=5275&mkevt=1&mkpid

Lines open between 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays.

9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends .

That dreaded collection code!

One thing not mentioned, is that by NOT COLLECTING in person, invalidates the 30 day money back guarantee, so buyer cannot win a NOT AS DESCRIBED CASE, but could still open a NOT RECEIVED CASE. Ebay does not accept feedback as proof of delivery.  Double standards as usual, as will sometimes release money on basis of feedback being left.

That dreaded collection code!

Hi Tressygirl,

the buyer has already looked for the codes and cannot find them. I guess it's customer service for me. Thank you.
