Support case on hold until August 9th; impossible to reach ebay customer support due to that

According to Pitney Bowes, my package is at a "local post office," but I have received no note from post office or other info on what's my domestic tracking number and which postal company it is, let alone the address.

The seller has opened a support case, but it says it's on hold until August 9th to gather documentation. This makes it impossible for me to contact a human support representative (chat constantly unavailable, no phone number on ANY topic I chose). Meanwhile my package is allegedly there, however, by August 9th I'm pretty sure it's gonna get sent back. I have already paid all the customs through ebay too, so I fear I won't get a full refund if they decide that I could but just didn't pick up the package.

So is there truly nothing that ebay can do to contact Pitney Bowes for info before this package gets shipped back? My local PB in Greece isn't responding. I feel powerless to do anything...

As far as I can see, it is you the buyer who should open a NOT RECEIVED  CASE as soon as past the expected delivery date.

I doubt seller can do anything to speed up delivery.

I am assuming ebay requirements are similar to those in the UK.

If Taxes etc. were collected by ebay, I think they would refunded in total if a refund has to be made.
