Submit a best offer when seller has a 10% coupon code

When submitting a best offer for an item that also qualifies for a 10% seller coupon code, do you get the 10% off the best offer amount if it is accepted, or would you not be able to use the coupon if submitting a best offer? Thanks

If seller has automatic payment on acceptance of offer, then you can't add coupon.

If you have to pay through ebay checkout, add coupon on 1st page before paying.
