'Start a return' running around in circles!

I contacted seller about an issue with SNAD.

We messaged back and forth and he agreed to refund due to his own mistake when listing the item.  I started a return; last time he replied to my message was 21st June and wasn't happy about refunding me but we left it there.  Four days late there is no 'ask eBay to step in and help' option. 

Return status just comes up with the history of our chat and NO returns label has been sent to me.  Either this is a bug on the page or the seller is now refusing to co-operate? 'See return details' takes me to a page 'Reply to seller'.  This is both on the app and web page.

If I click on Purchases it tells me that I already started a return and should have an email with a returns label and that the seller has to pay for the return.  It never arrived.  Unable to contact eBay.

What do I do now?

The time to escalate is timed to the very second,  that is exactly 3 x 24 hours have to pass from opening the case, to give the seller time to  refund,  before the escalation option,  ' ask eBay to step in' appears.

You may be looking a little too early?

Claims have to be started 30 days from  delivery date.  Once a case has been opened the buyer must escalate within 30 days.

OK that makes sense being too early so thanks for the heads up.

I will look again tomorrow as it says "If you're not able to agree on a solution or the seller has not responded by 26 Jun, you can ask us to step in and help."

Is this a case of the seller hasn't properly accepted the return on their end as sometimes they can be instant?  Somewhere on My Ebay it gives me the instruction to now send it back when they haven't responded accepting it and there's no address to send it to.  It's ridiculous i know 🤷 😂
