I have recently sold an item which has not passed inspection with the eBay authenticator. The reason provided is 'Does not seem authentic'. The item was purchased via eBay less than 12 months ago and was authenticated by them then - is there any way of contacting eBay to get the decision changed? eBay have advised that since the item could not be authenticated, relisting the item may lead to limitations on my account!
