Simple delivery - postage label cost more than buyer paid

I am a new seller on eBay and have sold a few items over the last month no issue, where the postage cost is paid by the buyer and I have the digital QR code to scan.

Today an item sold for £2.50 and the buyer selected 87p 2nd class royal mail but then ebay stating for the label they will take £2.69 postage from me? This is more than the value of the book.

I have not had anyone select this option so do I just buy a stamp? If so how do I mark as dispatched and prove it was sent?

I am not sure what to do as will make a loss by selling this if I select the QR code

This is a little confusing - When you created the listing did you select "buyer pays postage" and the price is set at £2.70 for a letter/large letter and Parcel £2.94.  If you excluded EVRI for the couriers then Royal mail prices kick in at £2.72 large letter and parcel £3.38

The buyer at the point of payment doesnt have the option to select the postage of 87p they should be given the price of the above + £2.50 you sold the item for.  So how much has the buyer paid you?

I assume it is DK Eyewitness book.

You listed as 87p postage, so your error.
