Ebay has just sold one of my item and change the delivery to £2.45. It does not account for packing materials; boxes etc, bubble wrap or cushion materials if it is something fragile. I have contacted Ebay customer service and told them I cannot fulfilled the order as I will be taking money out of my pocket and making a huge loss on the sale. They said that I am being referred to a specialised team. (still waiting).
I told them if they want us to use their fancy simple delivery, they need to provide the packing materials and anything associated with the posting of the products. I am paying those from my own pocket.
I suggest that all sellers having the same issues contact Ebay and do the same. Maybe the dumb *bleep*eau at Ebay who came up with the idea can think about it!

Upgrade to a business account and you don't have Simple Delivery.

At the cost of paying monthly subscription , your maths does not make sense!! I am trying to cut . If I wanted to spend money on a subscription platform, I ll go with Amazon which has better options and more sales potential- eBay would be my last

What maths? Anyway it's not about the maths it's about the law.
