Avoiding simple delivery option after the 15th April

Just curious (and I won't use this option) but are we going to see sellers trying to game the system like this for small/low value items?

- Sell a low value item like a postcard (or any other small item) on eBay

- When listing, enter the weight of the package as 21kg

- This allows you to use custom postage as it is now too heavy to use Simple Delivery

- Set the postage charge as 85p i.e. the cost of a stamp

- Send it by regular post (so for this postcard that would be 85p)

- OK you now wait 2 weeks for payment to reach you but at least you're not been forced to send by Tracked 48 (which costs £2.70 although eBay seems to be inflating this to £2.73)

Just curious, would this work?

🙂

OK I just saw on another thread that custom delivery will still be available on items under £10 and posted in envelopes

eBay really don't help themselves  do they? If you're introducing such a big change why do they drip feed the information that actually matters???
