Simple Delivery

Simple Delivery is seriously flawed. As a seller, I can only specify the package type, e.g. medium parcel up to 1 kg. With Royal Mail this offers three options depending on the level of cover required. However, the buyer is free to choose the cheapest option which, in many cases, would not provide sufficient cover. In such circumstances, who is responsible for loss, the buyer, Ebay or the seller? If it is the seller, then, in such circumstances, I would have no option but to cancel the transaction.

What value do you need to cover?

Items are covered for up to £750 for damage in transit or non-delivery.

The costs for postage shown to the buyer vary according to the service they choose - if you have selected RM only, buyers can generally choose Click and Collect, Standard or Express delivery but the cover remains the same at £750.
