Simple Delivery is now optional for more items priced £20 or less

Hi,  Did anyone else get a message on 5 Sep saying Simple Delivery is optional on low cost items?  I listed something 2 days ago for £3, free postage, and was actually able to choose Royal Mail 2nd Class large letter and put the correct weight (100g).  I was pleasantly surprised.  If I'd been forced to use Simple Delivery the postage would have been for Royal Mail tracked 48 which would have cost an additional £1.15 and made the transaction pointless.  I've tried since to update some of my existing listings so as to make the postage cheaper for the buyer but it's not possible as Simple Delivery pops up every time.  Have I just been lucky?  Most of my listings are the same item - backer rod, very lightweight, very cheap, different lengths.  I can't find the list of eligible items for this 'optional' postage so if anyone else can please let me know>

Ebay have cunningly managed to avoid listing allowed categories, so that many members do not know what is allowed.

It just says when you list if allowed, you will be given the option to use your own postage.
