Simple Delivery chose Evri but I used Royal Mail. How to mark as dispatched?

I forgot to opt out of Evri as a courier for Simple Delivery. Done now, but mean time, I sold an item and eBay says to dispatch via Evri. I've posted via Royal Mail but have no way to upload tracking information or mark as dispatched. I've sent the buyer explaining this and given them the tracking number. Should I worry about this at all?

To mark the item as dispatched open the original Simple Delivery label.   Then add the new tracking number via View Order Details > Postage > Track Package > dropdown arrow > Add Tracking.   That has to be done on a desktop browser.

If the buyer paid for the original label the cost will be automatically refunded to them in 30 days.   If you paid for it you can cancel it here:

I'm using a desktop browser but cannot see how to click on Postage to get to Track Package. Looking at the Order Details, the tracking shows as -- (2 dashes). Nothing to click on. I can't open the Simple Delivery label as that means I'll have to use it (and pay for it).

Opening the label doesn't use it.   It's not used until it's scanned at the post office.   You pay for it anyway but would have got a refund afterwards.
