Simple Delivery /Custom Delivery

I am trying to load a sale of two programmes that weigh a total of 88g at a cost of £4.00.

I cannot access Custom Delivery and find it ridiculous that I have to use Simple Delivery when eBay specifically stated that any item under 100g and selling at a price of less than £10.00 would be eligible for the aforementioned  Custom delivery.

How can I justify to any prospective buyer extortionate postal charges on top of a buyers protection charge which is patently another "rip off".

Oh by the way I am  a UK private seller so does this hideous system apply only to us or are the rest of Europe suffering ?

As far as I know only the UK suffers this stupid not simple postage.

When listing do you not get the option to use advanced postage? Under the coloured Ebay!

Ebay does not even realise that ADVANCED postage implies superior to simple postage.

Thanks for the reply , Switch to Advanced Options is not available to me on this particular loading.

I think I will not bother trying to sell these items until someone at eBay finally sorts this utter mess out.
