Ship item to another address

Hello,

I've had a buyer message me, after paying for an item, to say the address on thier account is incorrect and can I post the item to another address instead.

First time I've had something like this happen so unsure on how to proceed.

You would lose seller protection so it's best to issue a cancellation via More Actions, far right of item on your sold list, with buyer's agreement. Then relist item for them to buy again.   This time they must update address on ebay before they buy again.

Do not do this, you'll lose all eBay seller protection if the item is lost.

Explain to the buyer you will need to cancel the order which will fully refund them,  and they will have to change their delivery address to the correct one.    There are actually 5 addresses they need to change.

You will relist the item they'll need to buy it again from your eBay listing.  Remind them to check at eBay checkout that the delivery address showing on the left side is the correct one.

Cancel the order citing Problem with Buyer's address,  this then doesn't affect your seller performance.

You should only send to the address given with the order, if you send to another address you will not be covered by eBay.

Best to cancel sale as problem with buyers address and relist for them to buy again with the correct address.
