Setting up a business account

Hi

I'm trying to set up a Business account for the first time. I already have a personal account, but I wanted more control over selling items.

But eBay won't acknowledge my bank details and keeps saying the same thing.

Something isn't right.

We couldn't verify this bank account. Please select a different payment method.

That's strange, as this bank account has been on the platform since eBay stopped using PayPal. So why does one section object to my banking details while another section is happy to plunder funds from the same account in another section on the same platform?

I can't change the bank account as I don't have another bank account to go to.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks.

Michael.

Setting up a business account

You may have had your bank account registered on your eBay account, but is it registered with eBay's Managed Payments?

Have you received 2 micro deposits and confirmed this back to eBay?  If not this is where the issue may lie.

See here:

You may be prevented from listing an item, because you have not fully or correctly registered with eBay's Managed Payments.

You need to provide eBay with details of a bank account and have this account verified.  The usual method here, is for eBay to send 2 micro deposits into that nominated bank account for you to receive,  and confirm to eBay.

Once this is completed,  you will be able to list items for sale,  and receive payouts from those sales.

This will show you how to register for eBay's Managed Payments.

If there is an issue with the registration contact eBay Customer Services,  who have full access to your account,  and can see where the issue lies and explain the steps you now need to take.

Contact them this way.

This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.
