Selling a sofa which has not been paid for or collected

We placed our sofa on eBay Auction site. It sold to an eBay member, who was going to pay cash on collection. I messaged her on several occasions and eventually got a reply. Her partner had bidded on it, without her knowledge on her account.  She is now saying that she doesn't want the item. Does this mean I will have to pay eBay fees? At the moment I have relisted the item, but I am losing confidence with eBay. Any advice. Is there an eBay contact number?

There is no need to contact Ebay.  What do you want them to do?

Buyers do agree to purchase items and then change their minds.  I just find it best to accept a cancellation.

There are no fees for selling.  If you use optional features like a subtitle, have a reserve or promote your listing, you will pay those charges whether or not your item sells.

Finally, you are not allowed to ask for cash on collection.  Buyers have to pay through Ebay and then, once they have paid, you can exchange details and arrange collection.

Thank you for confirming all that for me . I haven't had many dealings at all with Ebay which is why .1. I was not aware you could ask for cash on collection and 2. I will be closing my account with Ebay and selling my items elsewhere. Thank you
