Selling Coral

Hello, I have read the terms and the policy on live animals, but there are thousands of listings of coral for sale on ebay, so can somebody explain what is happening with the so called live animal ban?

I want to start selling corals but there is too much ambiguity around it.

I just wondered what other users or perhaps coral sellers had to say about things?

Thanks

I don't think there is any ambiguity.

If you try selling live corals, it is likely that the listings will be reported and removed.

Live corals are animals, you probably know already that they are classified as invertebrates, and are not allowed on Ebay.

Sellers who already have live corals listed may not be UK based or they may simply be flouting the rules and getting away with it.

Selling Coral

Here is eBay's stance on selling coral.

No, you cannot sell live coral on eBay UK. eBay UK prohibits the sale of all live animals, including fish and corals. This policy is i...

is correct,  the ones you see have circumvented eBay's rules' slipped the net of being checked,  easy to do with over 7 billion listings on eBay.  If they are spotted and reported and break a selling reg they will be removed.

You will have to find another platform to sell those items.
